Full Description
Fragments of a later prehistoric field system are visible cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery [1-2] to the west of Pimperne village and east of Shaftesbury Lane. The banked features cover an area of 95ha and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project. This is a westward extention of the field system described in MDO44467. The banks forming the northwest end of the field system have previously been interpreted as a separate enclosure (MDO4565).
