'Celtic' fields. (Part of Group 85) <1>

Field systems in the Dorset Cursus/Bokerley Dyke area have been transcribed from air photo evidence for the RCHME's "Bokerley Dyke" volume (see Fig 1). This shows a more extensive and complex distribution of fields across the chalk downs than was evident during work on the earlier Dorset Inventory. Some of the "groups" identified by RCHME in the latter volume are no longer so clearly defined and distinct. <3>
