Summary

A possible ring ditch is visible as a faint earthwork to the northwest of Tarrant Launceston on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is adjacent to a Bronze Age barrow (MDO44822), also under NRHE Hob UID 1479215. The feature may also be the outer ditch of a Bronze Age barrow and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

A possible ring ditch is visible as a faint earthwork to the northwest of Tarrant Launceston on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The feature comprises a broken partial sub-circular ditch approximately 5.8m across and situated adjacent to a Bronze Age barrow (MDO44822), also under NRHE Hob UID 1479215. The feature may also be the outer ditch of a Bronze Age barrow and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
