Summary

Cropmarks of part of a coaxial field system of uncertain date (possibly Iron Age, Roman or early medieval) associated with and attached to the southern side of a trackway all of which can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme. The fields are rectilinear and defined by ditches.

Full Description

Cropmarks of part of a coaxial field system of uncertain date (possibly Iron Age, Roman or early medieval) centred at ST 6063 1442 which is associated with and attached to the southern side of a trackway (NRHE 1621108). The fields share a common NE-SW axis which is marked by an axial ditch. All these features can be seen on aerial photographs taken in June 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme. The fields are rectilinear and defined by ditches. A single D-shaped enclosure can be seen within the corner of one of the fields at ST6075 1442. <1>
