Summary

Linear banked features are visible as earthworks on the west side of Tarrant Monkton on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features may be historic field boundaries of medieval to post medieval date, although a later origin is also possible - allotments are recorded here on the OS 2nd Edition map, although no boundaries shown. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Linear banked features are visible as earthworks on the west side of Tarrant Monkton on 1940s aerial photographs s and current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The features may be historic field boundaries of medieval to post medieval date, although a later origin is also possible - allotments are recorded here on the OS 2nd Edition map, although no boundaries shown [3]. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
