Full Description

Field system taken from air photographs in 1949 by R J C Atkinson. <1>

Centred at ST 813011 and ST 814002. An extensive field system; much of it visible on air photographs. The area is arable and the system has been largely ploughed out. Only two small areas, both under grass, exhibit faint traces of lynchets and field banks. On the air photographs the fields appear as small rectilinear ones, which appear to be of Iron Age/Romano-British type. <2>
