Full Description
A large area of shallow extraction is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 to the northeast of Stickland Hill Farm, Stickland [1]. The feature is considered to be the result of surface extraction (possibly peat or turf cutting) and covers an area of 0.03 hectares. It is still extant on lidar imagery [2] and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
