Six subcircular extractive pits are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery in two arable fields to the east of Traveller's Rest, Durweston [1]. They are 9-24m across and considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits; they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
