An extractive pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the field to the south of Sutcombe Wood, Durweston. The hollow is 18m across with an outer doughnut of spoil. The feature is considered to be a post medieval chalk pit, it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
