Full Description
An extractive pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the field to the south of Sutcombe Wood, Durweston [1]. The hollow is 18m across with an outer doughnut of spoil. The feature is considered to be a post medieval chalk pit, it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
