Gold Pin - 20" B.S. found in `moory' spot near Burle [Burl]. <1>

Field name `Burles' centred at ST 62840435. (Burl Farm shown at ST 58860391 on OS 6" 1903) <2>

[Marginal] Enquiries at Burl Farm were without result though the name Burl Moor at ST 58650345 strongly suggests the site described in Auth 1 Davidson's book was not available during recording. The present location of this gold pin was not ascertained, but it is not in the Dorset Co. Museum. <3>
