Full Description

Possible village shrinkage immediatly East of Dairy Home Farm at Melling Bubb, ST 598065 is revealed by the remains of slight banks. The field was owned by Thos. Champion according to the Tithe Award, name for a small plot of 32 perches within it which was owned by the Earl of Ilchester, and was probably the last surviving toft. There were presumably cottages and gardens here. <1>
