Full Description

Dibberford is a two-storeyed rubble-built house probably built in the 16th century and retaining some original stone-mullioned windows, the lower ones with labels. Inside are some original moulded ceiling beams and a large fixed press probably of the 17th century. <2>

The house, which was known as West Dibberford Farm, was burned out in 1954, and there are no plans to rebuild it. The stone walls remain up to the eaves, and in the NE face are stone-mullioned windows with dripstones. The interior contains the damaged moulded beams referred to above, a fine Ham Hill fireplace and some substantial oak partitions. <3>
