Summary

A circular mound is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project. It is one of a line of three features which are located on the top of Shillingston Hill, within the later prehistoric field system described in MDO4682, and are potentially the sites of Bronze Age round barrows.

Full Description

A circular mound is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery [1] and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project. It is 18m across and one of a line of three features which are located on the top of Shillingston Hill, within the later prehistoric field system described in MDO4682. They are potentially the sites of Bronze Age round barrows.
