Summary

A Neolithic flint axe (celt) and a flint pick were found "about 25 years" prior to 1954 about a quarter of a mile north of Cranborne Farm. In 1954 it was in the possession of Dr KB Clarke of Cranborne.

Full Description

Flint Pick and Celt found about 1/4 mile N. of Cranborne Farm. In the possession of DR. K. B. Clarke Cranborne. [Centred at SU 04151498]. <1>

Found about 25 years ago approximately in the area indicated. They were found by my father. <2>

Seen in the possession of Dr Clarke. They are small, roughly chipped Neolithic pick and celt. Slightly patinated. <2.1>
