Full Description
The cropmark of a single ring ditch, approximately 35m in diameter, is visible on English Heritage Reconnaissance photographs taken on 27th August 2009. It is roughly centred at SU 0686 1366, lying 260m west of Paul’s Copse, and 45m east of the field’s western boundary. A slightly smaller ring ditch, recorded as NRHE 1615429, lies approximately 10m south-east. There are also faint cropmarks of another possible ring ditch, roughly 7m wide and located 10m south-west at the edge of the field, but it is not clearly visible and may be a natural feature. The ring ditches may be the remains of Bronze Age round barrows. <1>
