Full Description

Burstock Grange is a two-storeyed 17th century house with ashlar walls and a thatched and slated roof. It retains a number of stone-mullioned windows, some with moulded labels. There is a modern addition on the north. <2-3>

Burstock Grange is a farmhouse of stone construction, the southern portion having a thatched roof and mullioned windows. No information could be obtained during field investigation concerning the existence of a monastic grange at this site. <4>

'The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys. The walls are of stone and the roofs are thatched. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams. (2) Burstock Grange, 600 yards S.S.E. of the church, retains a number of original stone-mullioned windows, some with moulded labels.'
