Full Description
A banked and ditched linear feature is visible as cropmarks to the west of Tarrant Monkton on aerial photographs [1]. The feature is very straight and rectilinear in form and approximately 372m long, extending between two historic field boundaries. It appears to overlie part of a later prehistoric trackway (MDO44559) and part of a later prehistoric field system (MDO5081). It is considered likely to be a field boundary of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is also possible. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
