Full Description
Linear ditched features are visible as cropmarks to the east of Blandford Camp, Tarrant Monkton, on aerial photographs [1-3]. Some of the features are also visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [4]. The features may comprise field boundaries, trackways and enclosures of possible Iron Age to Roman date - possibly part of a field system associated with an Iron Age banjo enclosure (MDO42508), and potentially an area of possible settlement (MDO44561), both of which are encompassed by these features. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
