Full Description

(ST 698 152. Woodrow. Sited to Lower Woodrow Farm Auth 1 and OS 10000 1982).
Woodrow dates from the C14th and lies in Stourton Courdle. Evidence suggests there once was a road from Purse Caundle to Bishop's Caundle along the east side of Plumey Wood, and along this route lie 3 forms with the `Woodrow' element. Of these, Lower Woodrow is a decayed group of buildings which gives the impression of having once been a larger group. <1>
