Two lynchets of probable medieval date are visible as earthworks to the east of Hyde Farm, Pimperne on aerial photographs. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

Three lynchets of probable medieval date are visible as earthworks to the east of Pimperne on aerial photographs [1]. The features form closely positioned parallel curvilinear banks bordering the north side of a historic field boundary to the east of Hyde Farm, potetnially all that remains of the medieval settlement of Hyde, as recorded under NRHE Hob UID 209465. The features are still visible on 2001 APGB imagery [2].

The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
