Full Description
An extensive area of banked linear earthworks are visible on Environment Agency lidar imagery extending from south to north across Pimperne Down through Langton Long Blandford, Blandford Forum and Pimperne parishes [1]. The features are considered likely to be part of a celtic field system of probable Bronze Age/Iron Age date and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. They may overlap areas of field systems to the north and east recorded under MDO4586.
