Full Description
A possible late prehistoric linear earthwork is visible as banked linear earthworks to the northeast of Langton Long Blandford on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The feature extends from the northeast side of Langton Long Blandford for over 1.5km on a southwest-northeast alignment, similar to a series of other linear earthworks in the vicinity, and potentially of Iron Age to Roman date. The feature is located on the west side of an extensive celtic field system (MDO4199). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
