Full Description
ST 9173 0540 (FCE) A rapid examination of air photography (1a) suggests the presence of a round barrow site, of the Prehistoric or Roman date, visible as a ring ditch cropmark south of Buzbury Rings. <1>
A probable Bronze Age bowl barrow is visible as an earthwork and cropmark to the south of Buzbury Rings, Keynston Down, Tarrant Keyneston, on aerial photographs <2-3>. It comprises a central mound aprroximately 10.7m in diameter and a surrounding 1m wide outer ditch. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
