Full Description
Two Bronze Age palstaves found on the surface of Fontmell Down are in the Dorset County Museum. One is 6.8 inches long, 1.0-2.5 inches wide and 1.2 inches thick and has three ribs below the stop ridge(Accession No 1884-9-2), and the other is 7.0 inches long, 0.95-3.0 inches wide and 1.2 inches thick and has a single central rib below the stop ridge (Accession No 1884-9-3). <1>
