Full Description
Banked curvilinear features are visible as soilmarks and earthworks on the west side of Tarrant Rushton airfield on aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2].
The main group of features describe part of a possible curvilinear enclosure approximately 437m wide by 185m deep in its visible section. Additional linears sub-dividing and adjacent to this posssible enclosure may be related. A further linear boundary to the south, recorded under MDO44342, may also be associated with this group of features, which may be boundary banks or field boundaries of later prehistoric, or perhaps medieval, date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
