Full Description

Prof. BUCKMAN has several leaf-shaped arrowheads from the neighbourhood of BRADFORD ABBAS. <1>

[MARGINAL]. As exhibiton of flints found at Prof. BUCKMANS farm (EAST FARM, BRADFORD ABBAS) was given at the ROYAL ARCH. INSTITUTE. The flints included numerous scrapers, and arrow-heads, though in the case of the latter only one example has any approach to the formation of barbs. [A leaf shaped arrowhead is illustrated as a sample of the finds.]

"Two portions..[of axes] show the outline and polish of a portion of a celt … [as if] they were broken implements of that class from which flakes had been struck off" and the implements used as cores. <2>

No further information was obtained on the provenance or present location of these flints which from T.1. apparently
consisted of possible Ne. axes, leaf-shaped arrowheads, one probably barbed arrowhead, and scrapers. <3>
