Summary

A partial sub-circular ring-ditch is visible as a cropmark in a field to the east of Tarrant Rushton on an aerial photograph dated 1976. The feature may be the outer ditch of a Bronze Age round barrow. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

A partial sub-circular ring-ditch is visible as a cropmark in a field to the east of Tarrant Rushton on an aerial photograph dated 1976 [1]. The feature comprises a 0.8m wide sub-circular ditch approximately 13.6m in diameter, with a gap on its southwest side. It may be the outer ditch of a Bronze Age round barrow. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
