Full Description
A triangular area of parallel cultivation marks, probably post-medieval narrow ridge and furrow, are visible as earthworks to the east of Tarrant Rawston on aerial photographs dated 1948 and on current lidar imagery [1, 2]. A banked linear feature dividing the area and a ditched linear feature bordering the cultivation marks to the east may be field boundaries of likely post-medieval date, although the ditched linear boundary may be earlier in origin. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
Only the ditched linear boundary on the east side of the area of cultivation remains visible on lidar imagery [2].
