An extensive system of banked field boundaries is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within and surrounding Westley Wood, Sturminster Marshall. The boundaries may be prehistoric or medieval in date and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Full Description

Perpendicular banked field boundaries are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery [1] within and surrounding Westley Wood, Sturminster Marshall. The boundaries may be prehistoric or medieval in date and form an extensive field system of over 100 hectares. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
