Summary

Ditched linear features are visible as cropmarks in a field to the northwest of Tarrant Rawston on an aerial photograph dated 1976. The features may be ditched field boundaries and a possible trackway, potentially of Iron Age/Roman date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

Ditched linear features are visible as cropmarks in a field to the northwest of Tarrant Rawston on an aerial photograph dated 1976 [1]. The features comprise one southwest to northeast aligned linear ditch, 80m long, and four shorter linear ditches perpendicular to this. The features are likely to be sections of a trackway and associated field boundaries, potentially of Iron Age/Roman date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
