‘The archaeological assessment of a [sic] land at Milton Road, Milborne St. Andrew (SY 802 980) comprised the mechanical excavation of c. 300 metres of trenches across a single field plot. Inspection of the exposed subsoil revealed a number of features and deposits. Most were naturally-occurring periglacial features; three may be of an archaeological nature, but manual excavation failed to recover dateable artefacts. Two possible negative lynchets were noted on the hillside.’
