‘There are extensive traces of “open” settlement-like features between L2 and L3 (Fig. 2, “S”). … As noted above, traces of an extensive unenclosed settlement were identified between linear features L1 and L2. The marks, comprising probable pits and “splodges” with two faint linear elements, cover an area of c. 2.5ha.’
