The probable sites of five post medieval chalk pits are visible as low earthwork hollows on aerial photographs and lidar imagery immediately to the south of Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway, Sturminster Marshall [1-2]. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
