Eight hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery north of the stretch of Roman Road MDO44174, in the vicinity of the later prehistoric lynchet (MDO44177), Sturminster Marshall [1]. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project and considered to be post medieval chalk pits.
