Full Description
Linear and rectilinear features are visible as cropmarks on air photographs taken April 15th 2002. The cropmarks are fragmentary in places, but cover a sizeable area and appear to represent the boudaries of enclosures and fields within a larger network of fields and settlement. There are possibly trackways present too. <1>
The probable site of a later prehistoric settlement is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the east of St Mary's Church, Tarrant Crawford <2>. The site comprises rectilinear enclosures, field boundaries and a possible trackway and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
