Summary

The probable site of a Bronze Age round barrow is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the north of Ram Lane, Shapwick. It is a southern outlier of a larger cemetery group and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Full Description

The probable site of a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (1). Only the northern half of the feature is visible which appears as a double concentric ring ditch, the outer ring is 31m across and the inner, 19m. It is a southern outlier of a larger cemetery group and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
