Full Description
The probable site of a later prehistoric settlement is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project [1-2]. It comprises a polygonal enclosure 26m across straddling the parish boundary between Charlton Marshall and Spetisbury at ST 90272 03288. It is associated with linear ditches to the north and south which appear to be fragments of other rectilinear enclosures, field boundaries and trackways which together cover an area of approximately 49 hectares.
