Find Spot record MDO44020 - Bronze Age axe from Pine View, Park Bottom Road, Alderholt

A Bronze Age palstave was found in 1938 in the garden of Pine View, Park Bottom Road. It was last recorded in the possession of Mr Morley Hewitt of Fordingbridge.

A palstave with flanges and stopridge. T.I. correct. The previous occupiers who found the palstave in the garden of Pine View are dead. It's still in my possession. <2>

[SU 1190 1257] The garden of PINE VIEW extends for 120.0m NW to SE and for 36.0w SW to NE. It is still cultivated. The present occupiers have found nothing in the garden and could not assist in the siting of the find spot of the palstave. <3>
