Summary

Perpendicular ditched linears are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs to the north east of Crab Farm. The features are cut by the Roman Road from Old Sarum to Dorchester and are therefore considered to be of later prehistoric date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Full Description

Perpendicular ditched linears are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs to the north east of Crab Farm (1-4). The features are cut by the Roman Road from Old Sarum to Dorchester (MDO43945) and are therefore considered to be of later prehistoric date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
