Monument record MDO43946 - Roman Road: Badbury Rings to Poole, Pamphill

The Roman road from Bath to Poole via Badbury Rings is visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photography and lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

A section of the Roman road from Bath to Poole is visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photography and lidar imagery (1-3) between Lodge Farm and High Wood. The road is intermittently visible as a central bank with flanking ditches and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. It cuts straight through the enclosure/settlement described in MDO43832 suggesting the enclosure is earlier.
