Summary

An rectilinear ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the east of High Wood, Pamphill. It is of uncertain date, probably Iron Age or Roman, and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project.

Full Description

An rectilinear ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the east of High Wood, Pamphill (1). The enclosure is sub-rectangular, 56m long by 30m, and a gap situated midway along its eastern side is likely to be an entrance. The enclosure is probably Iron Age or Roman in date, and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project.
