Full Description

Recent aerial photography reveals the cropmark of a possible Prehistoric or Roman round barrow site, visible as a ring ditch at ST 956 049. <1>

The site of a Bronze Age bowl barrow is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs <2-3> and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project.The barrow mound is 17m across and encircled by a ring ditch. The levelled mound is 13m across with a partially visible encircing ring ditch.
