Full Description

The first ditch is a linear feature about 2m wide located in the north eastern part of the site. It measures about 0.3m deep with sloping sides. There is some debate as to its true nature. It is on the same line as a ditch recorded during a 2001 excavation but it could also be the base of a lynchet or erosion hollow.
The second ditch is at the western end of the trench and is also a linear ditch but measuring 1.6m wide and 0.7m deep. Medieval pottery has been recovered during evaluation.
