Full Description
A group of four post medieval chalk pits are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery in a field to the north west Badbury Rings, Shapwick (1-3). They comprise a deeper pit 30m associated with spoil heaps with less defined pits to the north and west. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
