The probable site of a post medieval chalk pit is visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the south of Blandford Road, Shapwick (1-2). It is 38m across and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
