Full Description
Two conjoined enclosures of probable later prehistoric date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (1-2) and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. An oval ditched enclosure (80m by 55m) abuts or is cut by the northwest corner of the enclosure described in MDO5869. Traces of an internal bank are visible as a slight earthwork on lidar imagery (3). This enclosure appears to be conjoined with a second smaller enclosure (70m by 20m) on it's northwest side. Both enclosures are cut by (and therefore predate) the linear earthwork described in MDO5910.
