Full Description
A D-shaped ditched enclosure is visible as a cropmark in a field to the west of Rawston Farm, Tarrant Rawston, on an aerial photograph dated 1976 [1]. The enclosure is approximately 45m wide by 48.5m long, with a possible entrance on its south side. The feature is located 17m north of a historic field boundary and may be associated with further enclosures and trackways in fields to the south side, recorded under MDO5133. The feature may be an enclosure of possible Iron Age/Roman origin and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
