Full Description
A probable Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a soilmark on aerial photographs. The site is centred at ST 9346 1043 and is suggested by a light coloured circular macula which measures 17m in diameter and is partially enclosed to the north by a narrow incomplete ring ditch. The site is probably the plough levelled remains of the chalk mound of a Bronze Age round barrow, several of which are known in this area. There is no sign of any internal feature such as a funerary deposit. <1>
A probable Bronze Age barrow approximately 525m southeast of Manor Farm, Tarrant Hinton is visible as a circular soilmark c 16m in diameter on an aerial photograph dated 1982 <1>. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
