Summary

A probable Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a soilmark on aerial photographs. The site is defined by a single ring ditch which encloses a circular area measuring 19m in diameter. Its shape and size suggest that it is probably the plough levelled remains of a Bronze Age round barrow. There is no sign of any internal mound or internal feature such as a funerary deposit.

Full Description

A probable Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a soilmark on aerial photographs. The site is centred at ST 9349 0962 and is defined by a single ring ditch which encloses a circular area measuring 19m in diameter. Its shape and size suggest that it is probably the plough levelled remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, several of which are known in this area. There is no sign of any internal mound or internal feature such as a funerary deposit. <1, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3>

A probable Bronze Age barrow is visible c 480m to the southwest of Dairy Farm, Tarrant Launceston, as a circular annular cropmark c13.5m in diameter on an aerial photograph dated 1999 <1, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3>. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M project.
