Monument record MDO43797 - Bronze Age round barrow, southwest of Dairy Farm, Tarrant Launceston

A possible Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a sub-circular soilmark on aerial photographs. The site is suggested by a lighter coloured oval macula. The macula measures 17m long by a maximum of 11m wide and is orientated NNE / SSW. It is probably the plough levelled remains of the chalk mound of a Bronze Age round barrow. There is no sign of any surrounding ditch or internal feature such as a funerary deposit.

A possible Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a sub-circular soilmark on aerial photographs. The site is centred at ST 9377 0974 and is suggested by a lighter coloured oval macula. The macula measures 17m long by a maximum of 11m wide and is orientated NNE / SSW. It is probably the plough levelled remains of the chalk mound of a Bronze Age round barrow, several of which are known in this area. There is no sign of any surrounding ditch or internal feature such as a funerary deposit. <1, 1.1>

A probable Bronze Age barrow is visible c 113m to the southwest of Dairy Farm, Tarrant Launceston, as a sub-circular cropmark c15m in diameter on an aerial photograph dated 1999 <1, 1.1>. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M project.
